Serendibite is named after “Serendib”, the old Arabic name for Sri Lanka, where the mineral was found. Serendibite is a rare borosilicate mineral that is very rare indeed in crystalline form. At one time crystalline serendibite was one of the rarest gems in the world and only a handful of specimens were known to exist.
This 10.47ct Serendibite stone is very rare for its price and the beautiful bluish-green will elevate your gem collection.
